Simulation System for PeLUIt 150 MW Nuclear Reactor by using vPower

Abstract In developing the PeLUIt 150 MW nuclear power plant based on High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor (HTGR) technology, with helium-coolant and output thermal of MW, simulator is also developed for training operators educating other technical personnel. Referred to balance (BOP) design PeLUIt, utilized vPower simulation platform simulate secondary loop generation a water-steam Rankine cycle. The paper focuses loop’s main components: steam generator, turbine, condenser, deaerator, feedwater pump. reactor module in primary simplified as heat source output. generator that connects loops modeled exchanger by transferring from helium water/steam. Meanwhile, pressure flow parameters can be simulated both water/steam flows steady-state transient operating conditions. results are almost same data. differences temperature, pressure, 0.03%, 0.53%, 0.02%, respectively. condition carried out loss coolant accident showed decrease flowrate 43.31 kg/s an increase temperature main-steam 52.32 15.38 °C, addition, there was drop around 10.37 (feedwater) 10.16 MPa (main-steam).
